New application deadline for main project 2024
You can now apply for funding for a main project of up to NOK 1,000,000 for employees and NOK 300,000 for students. The application deadline for the main project in autumn 2024 is 30th September
Support to carry out a main project in NTNU Discovery is a great opportunity to further develop your idea. Some prerequisites for applying for support to further develop your idea through a main project:
- You must be employed at NTNU or Helse Midt-Norge or be an active degree student at NTNU.
- Employees must have reported their idea to NTNU Technology Transfer and received an intellectual property rights (IPR) report from them.
- Students should have completed a pre-project at NTNU Discovery, and students studying in Trondheim must have received funding from
- Trønderenergy contribution through SPARK*.
- The project cannot be associated with an already formed company.

Small molecule on a big mission
A research group at NTNU, led by chemists Eirik Sundby and Bård Helge Hoff, has received NOK 1 million from NTNU Discovery to further develop Revie-001, a small molecule they hope will revolutionise the treatment of ALS and other serious nerve diseases.
